Hey, I'm Yasmin (she/her).
Therapy can feel daunting, so I'd first like to acknowledge this significant step in your healing journey. Choosing the right therapist for you is so important. I hope you can take a little time to learn more about me and my work, to see if I'm the right fit for you…
I'm a mixed-race, anti-oppressive, LGBTQIA+ affirmative, neuro-affirming and sex-work positive integrative therapist . I offer counselling and therapy online and in-person in Worthing. Oh, I'm also a mother, a wife, an intersectional feminist, vegan, and keen reader- and I was a client long before I became a therapist. I'm passionate about supporting people through life's challenges and helping people move towards where they want to be. I hold a degree in Psychology and a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.

Exploring your past to understand your present
I'm a qualified integrative therapist, which means I'm trained in different therapeutic approaches. In our work together, we will take a holistic approach by exploring your current experiences, the patterns of your past and mind-body connection.
Whilst I'm trained in different approaches, I'm heavily drawn to Psychodynamic therapy and attachment. Here we will gently explore your past and look at how it influences and shapes your current feelings, experiences, patterns and relationships.
I also draw on Gestalt therapy, which focuses on immediate thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations as they arise in the here-and-now.
As an integrative therapist, I will tailor my approach to your unique individual needs and goals. Our sessions are a collaborative space, so I will always follow your lead and go with whatever you bring.
Above all, I truly believe in the healing power of the therapeutic relationship. Building a strong collaborative relationship and working with your needs and goals, is integral to my approach. I strive to create a calm, safe, empathetic, supportive environment where you can feel truly heard and understood and learn to be your authentic self.

Anti-oppressive, anti-racist and anti-capitalist therapy
I take an anti-oppressive, anti-racist and anti-capitalist approach to therapy. Whilst emotional distress may be caused by biological factors, life events, trauma or individual psychology (or a combination), I don't ignore the environment or context in which they are experienced.
I also recognise that emotional difficulties may also be adaptive responses that are rooted in survival. Your struggles do not stem from personal failure, but from societal inequalities and barriers and the systemic pressures of capitalism.
Whether it's something at the forefront or something that is held more quietly in the background, together we'll look at your unique context and the systemic difficulties you face.
Rather than learning how to adapt to oppressive systems, together we'll contextualise your distress, build resilience and radical compassion, detach your self-worth from productivity and find meaning outside the system.
Multiracial/mixed-race therapist
With lived experiences, I understand the complexity of growing up in between cultures and races.
In our work together, I will work with you to explore and navigate your identity, experiences, mental health, cultural and family conflict, experiences of racism and microaggressions and intergenerational trauma.
Affirming therapist
My work is rooted in affirming and inclusive care. I provide LGBTQIA+ and neuro-affirming therapy. I am sex and sex-work positive and ENM supportive. You don't need to explain or justify who you are in this space- you can simply explore it, without judgement.
And as a vegan therapist, I also offer a space where fellow vegans can explore their values and experiences without any justification.
An invitation
In a busy world, I see rest and joy as forms of intentional resistance. I love reading, collecting and listening to records, movement and spending time in nature. What brings you joy and, within your means, what can you do to carve out time for yourself?
